When the message is received by a Lotus Notes/Domino user, there is an attachment called winmail.dat.Most winmail.dat issues were resolved by enabling TNEFEnableConversion=1 on the Domino SMTP server, yet even with this parameter set, winmail.dat attachments are being received.|
|Users receive a winmail.dat attachment. The attachment cannot be opened.|
|This problem is caused when an Outlook/Exchange user sends a message to a Notes/Domino user in MS Rich Text format. If the attachment portion of the MIME contains Unicode, the problem will appear even with TNEFEnableConversion=1 set on the server.|
